The Simpsons, created by Matt Groening, started out as a series of animated short sketches aired during The Tracy UIman Show in 1987. The success of these sketches led to the development and release of The Simpsons as we know them today. This prime time half-hour animated sitcom deals with middle class “American” issues while delivering an almost content dose of well crafted satire and parody.
