Lenten Season

While almost of my friends and some few relatives are on their Lenten vacation somewhere in the country together with their respective families, here we are staying at home to spend the Lent here. Actually we are not used on going out of town, going to the beach or just having fun during Holy Week like what others are doing. I guess it's our family's decision just to be together; do our own little sacrifice or offering, and join the procession on Good Friday.

To each it’s own I reckon and for some they see this little holiday as a break from work and the time to be with their family to go on vacation. Other's see it as a chance to relax and take a dip in the pool or go on spa that has spa cover for a more relaxing week.

A Goof Job For Him

Like what i said at my last post, my nephew just recently graduated from college last March 26th. We are happy and proud of his accomplishments most especially his parents.

Now that he is a fresh graduate I hope he'll get a good job soon for himself. He is a hard worker and very meticulous when he works. Since he graduated Fine arts and major in advertising, he is good in making graphics and designs that can be used by companies in their logos and advertisements. 

I also advised my nephew if he can he should study about web designing so that it can be added to his credentials and knowledge as well. Web designers are also paid well so I told him that there's crash courses in web designing that he can get. I'm not sure if he is is already familiar with  project management software but there are many areas or fields that his course can lead him to.

We just wish him all the best in everything that he'll do, only thing that we don't want him to do id marry early..lol

College Graduation

Today, my nephew just graduated from college and his parents where so honored and proud of his accomplishments. He graduated from a reputable University in Manila with the degree of BA Fine Arts major in Advertising. As of this writing they just arrived from the graduation rites at the PICC with my brother and his parents.

He has no medals or honors to add to his credentials but graduating from that 4-yr course is enough for us to be proud of him. I'm not sure of he'll also can overcome his public speaking anxiety once he'll be asked to speak in front of his professors and co-graduates. We'll be having a simple get together lunch on Sunday to celebrate the occasion.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to work on some of my posts, tomorrow my plans include giving Sophie a bath and Sunday, I want to celebrate because we have a little celebration! It's my niece and nephews graduation blow-out party. 

Summer Sandals

Yay, it's scorching hot outside and I can't go out without my sunglasses on paired with my 3/4 pants, loose shirt and my summer sandals which I hope is a pair of Christian Louboutin sandals. These days I'm comfortable wearing sandals and I have quite a few and that includes a Grendha brand. I'm also wishing to buy a pair of Ipanema or Havaianas when I go for shopping next time.

I can see a lot of women wearing tank tops, spaghetti strapped blouses, tube blouses and soft and loose tunic blouses and short shorts and skirts. Truly summer is here. 

Time to Stretch a Bit

A friend of mine is inviting me to play badminton or bowling this weekend and I'm not sure if I can go. I sure want to go with them and have some exercise but........

I've been hearing that they've been playing from time to time and it;s also a good way to bond with some friends. It's a good form of exercise just like when you are exercising at a dip station. I once played badminton in our backyard with my SIL and brother but got too lazy to get back on that routine. I'm hoping to keep my body moving for health benefits since I'm not getting any younger anymore. My body needs some stretching as well.

Thanks to Smart Bro

I've been a client of Smart Bro for almost 3 years now and I can say that I'm satisfied with their service. It's also very affordable on my pocket since I only pay Php 1,000 each month. Satisfied with the internet service, when I bought my laptop last year that I can use at the house, I decided that I'll use Smart Bro again and thru enough it's working good.

Sure there are times that signal will be lost for hours in some days but it's nto happening all the time unlike other net provider. I understand it bec. they also need to upgrade and have maintenance and things break down from time to time.

Thanks to Smart Bro because I can surf with no limits bec. their internet service is unlimited.

They Need to Improve It

So I found myself going to the restroom one time I went to a small shopping mall here in our place. I was just a bit piqued when I learned that their comfort room is not really a "comfort" room because the CR essentials are not working and some are actually not there.

It's ok for me to see that there's no hand soap but a rest room without hand dryers? Oh please give me a break! It's one thing I always look for when I go inside. Here in Pinas, it;s also seldom to find rest rooms with tissue, so every time I go out I have to bring some. Oh dear, unlike in Australia, I don;t have to worry anymore because all their rest rooms have ample supply.

Budgeting My Money

Thank heavens for my online work for it greatly helps me pay the bills. It's not that it is too overflowing that I already need a home budget software for me to budget it but just enough to survive from day to day and can still buy some few items for my luxury.

I still have my net cafe but lately the profit is just enough to pay the electric bill and the net subscription and w/o my other income for sure I'll have to tighten my belt a little bit tighter. I'm thankful that God blessed me with this work and so happy to have found this job in 2007. 

I Want Some Peace Pls.

Oh dear here comes my SIL once again in our house and I can hear her voice now hehe.

I'm working here in the sala but she wants to watch TV. I permitted her to watch the soap opera that she is following but I told once it is done I'll close the TV already. She is coming to our house to watch because her daughter is watching DVD or sometimes cartoons. Of course she can't have her turn so she has no choice but to come here.

Right now I'm in the middle of some works that I wanted to be done asap but the sound of the TV and her voice and moms is too much for me to bear at this point. Ha ha.. finally the show is done, now I will have time to work.  

Ageing Gracefully

 As we grow old we also have physical worries.

I have to admit that I'm in my early 40's and fine lines are already showing up and I had one of those days where I sat down and thought in few years time I'll be needing some wrinkle creams to at least lessen the appearance of them and vitamin supplements for my health. Actually, I'm not scared to get old and have those lines because it's already given that we all soon have wrinkled skin.

I hope I will age gracefully. For some vain individuals and those that have money, they will not be contented because they'll have face-lift or face make-over. Nothing wrong with that if you need it but just don't overdo it. Don't try to look like you're in your 30's when you are in in your 60's+ already.

I think as long as we are happy, we'll age gracefully.

Craving for Some Cake, Pizza and more

I just had a nap, would you believe for only 3 minutes!! LOL I felt sleepy after lunch and after taking a bath, lay on the sofa and my eyes are starting to become heavy and I guess I napped for few minutes when the phone rings. What the..

I wanted to sleep again but looks like I awake already. Now I'm getting hungry and craving for some cake. There's a nearby Red Ribbon in our area but since I'm just alone in the house and no one to ask to buy it for me so I wasn't able to have some cake. I also wanted to eat hamburger, fries, chicken sandwich, or pizza plus I also want sundae and pineapple pie. Yay, looks like I want to be a glutton huh? Never mind, it's easy for me to look for the best diet aids and actually I'm  also a person that don't get fat easy.

I better look for the delivery nos. of Jollibee , McDonalds and Yellow Cab, and let me see what I will buy. 

Happy For Her

My bestfriend for over 25 years quits her job for over 6 months already and I can feel she is very happy with it.

She's been stuck in her office for many years now and lately she is not happy anymore and wanted to do other things that will make her heart happy while still earning and taking care of her family. She decided to resigned from her 9-5 job and now she is a WAHM.

Though it looks like she's busier than ever since she can see all the needs of her family, she is stilll very happy with her decision. I guess she made a good and wise move of being a wahm. Right now she is earning more than what she earns when she's working. Good eh? So happy for her!

Stayed Up Late

Not thinking about having a possible acne breakouts, I stayed up late last night. I dunno about you but me when I don;t sleep early, usually when I wake up in the morning I notice that I will have a zit or 2 on my chin. Must because I have not cleaned my face thoroughly when I go to sleep or there's a connection on my sleeping late.

Anyway, after working till about 12 midnight, I decided to lay on my bed and watch TV. I was glued to channel 2 because after the late night news, Correspondents' episode was about Manny Pacquaio. They have shown how he was when he was still poor and became rich and famous boxing athlete of the country right now. His story is inspiring.

I guess I must have slept at 2:00 am already bec. after that show, I still watched few minutes of Music Up Late.

When it Rains...

.. it pours.. Thank heavens, online works poured in again and that only means more extended hours of work all day and all night. I reckon I really need to take vitamins now as a supplement. My sister in law has been advising me that since she can see me work hard. It's also not good to get sick.

Anyway, I'm really so happy and I feel blessed. God is really so good all the time. I'm trying my best to share my blessings with my family to the best of my ability.

Politicians are Out Again

Now that National Election come May 10, 2010 is coming, politicians and their team are again very visible and busy with their campaigns, motorcades, left and right TV guestings, forums, Miting de Avance, and house to house campaigns. It is also the time where lots of leaflets and campaign paraphernalias are being given once again. Those that are into elections and brochure printing business will have agood profit during these days.

Tarpaulins everywhere can be seen anew and I just hope they will not just paste or hand them just anywhere they light for they are eye sore as well.

I'm still thinking much about who to vote as Pres and for other positions and I hope I'll have the best judgement.

Let Me Whimper a Bit

Oh dear the heat must be in its fullest today and I just can't stand it.. Arghhhh, it's like I'm in a very big oven ready to be baked. The humidity is just too much! Wish I am at a mountain with lots of trees sipping fresh orange juice and reading my fave magazine.

I'm just piqued a little because one of my computer broke down once again and I need to troubleshoot it once again maybe tomorrow. If my sisterinlaw and I ca't fix it it will be send to our technician once again and that will mean we'll shell out money once again.. yay! I hope it'll be fix.

Investment of Sort

Lately I’ve been re-assessing my finances to see if I’m doing good and sticking to my financial plans and it looks like that I’m a good girl. Though I splurge on some things that I want and desire, that is permissible if I can say since I also need to reward myself for being a hard worker all year long.

I’m still trying to think of some ways to double my profits this year and I’m considering of investing on something that I think is feasible. I wanted to invest in a new business but I’m still weighing some things and considering some proc and cons. The thought of investing in gold also entered my mind these days but more considering are needed to be done but I’ll still put that on my list. I also need to have some budget or capital for that. Just in case you want to buy gold bullion and invest on gold, I reckon it’s a good move as we all know the worth of gold in the market these days are perceived to be good.

Mosquitoes Just Love Me

Yay! Oh dear I got tons of mosquito bites on my left arm and it's kinda embarrassing to see. I must have not noticed that they are biting me already during the night when I was too busy working in front of my laptop. I blame it on the frequent opening and closing of our main doors where mosquitoes sneaked in to enter. 

Poor me, they are reddish, itchy and later on they'll leave a black scar.

Health Issues

Glad I'm quite well this time, been a bit sick yesterday and I don;t want to end up just in bed so I need to work and keep myself going. I have lots of friends whom I heard sick as well and I hope they'll recuperate fast just like me. I'm feeling I've lost weight and with my skinny body I don't think I needed that.

Poor thing when I was sick yesterday, thoughts of me dying entered my mind because I was just in pain. Makes me think about other people who are enduring pain all day and most of their lives in bed. Life is too short really and that makes me browse for life insurane and I got free life insurance quotes here. It's not bad to consider getting life insure or even a health insurance for we don't really know when we're going to go or get sick.

I just hope and pray that I'll be healthier in many years.
